Based in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan, Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning is one of the world’s leading architecture schools.

Academic and research initiatives include Studio Reassembled, a 1500-sf reimagining of the traditional studio environment; Africa Alliance, a cluster focusing on urbanization processes across the continent; Post Rock, a patented facade system made from upcycled plastic and auto waste; DART LAB for computational design, robotics, and 3D printing construction technologies; and Climate Futures, a platform for climate action, sustainability, and environmental justice; among others.

Beyond campus, Taubman College’s faculty are leading architects and designers for a variety projects, exhibitions, and books, including Under the Campus, the Land; the Institute for AfroUrbanism, Backyard House, The Warehouse at Dartmouth College, Building in a Building, Detroit Cultural District, The Gift: Stories of Generosity and Violence in Architecture, and the School at Marygrove Elementary.

The work of Taubman College’s faculty has been featured in ArchDaily, The Architect’s Newspaper, Building Design+Construction, Dezeen, Dwell, Fast Company, Metropolis, Michigan Chronicle, Wallpaper*, and World Architects, as well as conferences and symposiums across the U.S.
