Founded by sisters Sanam, Laylee, and Safura Salek, MA-MA’s work serves creative industries and a diverse clientele, from fashion and art to hospitality and real estate development.

With a commitment to crafting unique and collectible experiences and objects, storytelling is integral to MA-MA’s process, creating environments with purpose and intrigue that are not only contextual but transformative.

MA-MA’s completed projects include Rolling Hills Residence, a 4,000-square-foot interior remodel and 1,500-square-foot addition; a contemporary design for a Menorah; scenography for Genesis during the 2024 New York International Auto Show ; and an award-winning product and packaging redesign for Houseplant’s U.S. launch.

Well-versed in working across scales, MA-MA’s recent projects include a house in Las Vegas; a showroom and workspace for AMP, an AI-powered fitness machine made for modern life. Several furniture concepts are also in design and production.

In 2021/2022, ABOVE THE FOLD collaborated with MA-MA and RIMOWA on the opening press campaign for a new flagship, highlighting the firm’s strong aesthetic approach and rising profile.

MA-MA’s partners and projects have been featured in The Architect’s Newspaper, Architectural Digest US, Spain, and Italia, The Business of Fashion, FRAME, Harper’s Bazaar, Hypebeast, The Los Angeles Times, Sight Unseen, superfuture, W Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and on the cover of Interiors California, among others.
