A detailed-oriented solo practitioner, Keith Burns is a Brooklyn-based architect who creates a unique portfolio of one-off projects with a inquiry-based, process-driven approach.

Working independently and with other architects, Keith’s projects include Amelie, Maison d’Art in the SoHo neighorhood of Manhattan, Williamsburg Loft on the top floor of a Brooklyn warehouse, a single-family home in Long Island City, and a ground floor addition and renovation to create a flexible, one-bedroom, “age in place” apartment.

The studio’s projects have been featured in Curbed’s ‘Great Rooms’ series, Wallpaper*, Dwell’s ‘The Deep Dive’ series, Brownstoner, and issues of Dwell (2017, 2024).

Keith’s current work on a 6,800-square-foot house in collaboration with Oana Stănescu Studio is nearing completion in Ontario, Canada. It will be his first ground-up residential project built since founding the studio.
